Easy Holiday Appetizers

I get a lot of calls and e-mails for dinner parties during the holidays. I love nothing more than coming into a client’s home and helping them create delicious memories. Sometimes I am already booked or unavailable for a dinner party, but I still make the effort to help plan a menu or come up with fun ideas.

The recipes I filmed with Alyssa Raymond from WTHR are a lot of fun and super easy to make. I’m already booked for the 2017 holiday season, but you can feel like you have a little piece of Tanorria in the kitchen with these fun recipes.

Apricot Gorgonzola Cheese Dip
1 8oz block of cream cheese, softened
1/3 cup apricot preserves
1/4 cup gorgonzola crumbles
3 green onions, chopped
1/2 cup bacon, crumbled
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper

Combine all ingredients in a bowl until incorporated. Dip can be served room temperature or chilled. Serve with crackers.

Roasted Cranberry Crostini
2 cups fresh cranberries
1 orange, zested and juiced
2 tbsp maple syrup
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tsp olive oil
1/4 tsp salt

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Toss cranberries with all other ingredients until coated. Spread onto a foil lined baking sheet. Roast in oven for 10 minutes or until cranberries have started to burst. It is okay if they don’t all burst. Remove from oven and let cool slightly.

Spoon roasted cranberries over toasted french baguette slices that have been topped with goat cheese, gorgonzola cheese, or brie.
