Everything Bagel Salmon
Run, don’t walk, to Trader Joe’s and grab a bottle of Everything but the Bagel Seasoning. It is so good! I don’t think I can eat eggs without it ever again! I also love this seasoning on freshly popped popcorn, and even over butter pasta.
I decided to create this recipe for my weekly meal clients, and it gets even the pickiest of eaters to eat salmon. I love how butter and tender the salmon is and the array of flavors the seasoning gives in every bite.
Trust me. This will become a part of your regular dinner rotation.
Everything Bagel Salmon
Ingredients
- 4 4-6 oz filets of salmon (buying skin-on is cost-effective)
- 1 ½ tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
- ½ teaspoon granulated garlic
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 tablespoon everything bagel seasoning
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400˚. Combine garlic, salt, and bagel seasoning into a small bowl. Lay salmon fillets on a baking sheet. Brush olive oil on each salmon filet using a pastry brush. Sprinkle seasoning blend over each salmon filet and ensure it is evenly distributed.
- Bake salmon for 15-20 minutes. To remove salmon from the pan, use a fish spatula to wedge between salmon flesh and salmon skin. The skin should stay on the pan when removed properly.
Notes:
You can totally make these with oil good for grilling like canola oil or vegetable oil instead. You can soften 1 tablespoon of butter, mix it with 1 teaspoon of brown sugar, and top it with dollops of the brown sugar butter right off the grill! (See this in my IG stories.)
