Fresh Tomato Salsa
One of my favorite things is to share a bowl of chips and fresh salsa with my girlfriends. We will eat and eat and eat and forget to eat anything else.
This quick and easy fresh salsa recipe allows you to make those same memories with your girlfriends in the comfort of your own home. Take advantage of tomato season this summer and keep this fresh salsa on hand for late nights of girl time.

Ingredients
Fresh Tomato Salsa
- 4 vine-ripened tomatoes
- 2 limes, juiced
- 1 small red onion, diced
- 1 jalapeño, seeded
- ½ c cilantro
- 1 tbsp kosher salt
- 1 tsp freshly cracked black pepper
Instructions
- Remove the tops and stems of each tomato and gently squeeze out the juice and seeds. Cut the seeded tomato into pieces. Place the tomato pieces into a food processor and pulse 5-7 times until you reach a chunky consistency. Pieces should resemble small dice. Pour the processed tomatoes into a medium bowl.
- Cut the red onion and jalapeño into large chunks. Return the food processor bowl to its base and add the red onion, jalapeno, and cilantro. Pulse the food processor 5-7 times until the ingredient are cut into fine pieces. Scoop the processed veggies into the bowl of tomatoes and stir until combined.
- Add lime juice, salt, and pepper, to the tomato mixture and stir until well blended.
- Serve chilled or at room temperature with tortilla chips.
