Bourbon Vanilla Lemonade
Life has handed us some major lemons by the name of #rona and social distancing. I have been spending a lot of time in the kitchen which means my Spotify app has been in full swing. Of course, the most played artist is Beyonce and one of my favorite albums is Lemonade. After listening to the song Freedom, her grandmother comes on and says “I was served lemons, but I made lemonade”. I literally got inspiration from that to make lemonade for y’all.
I couldn’t make just any lemonade. I think this lemonade is a perfect welcome to warmer weather while maintaining our sanity during the quarantine. Friends, I am proud to bring you Bourbon Vanilla Lemonade.
Bourbon Vanilla Lemonade
Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1 1/4 cup bourbon
- 1 3/4 cup Lemon Vanilla Simple Syrup
- 8 cups of water
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in a large pitcher and stir. Serve over ice with a lemon wedge on the side or in the glass.
- *To make this kid-friendly, you can omit the bourbon and still have delicious lemonade. You can also make this with vodka or limoncello in place of bourbon.
