Brown Butter Sugar Cookie

One of my favorite things about Christmas is the way it brings family together. If you know me well, you know that I truly believe that food is community. Food brings people together in a way that no other thing can, and it’s one thing that we all have in common.

There are a lot of traditions upheld, by families, this time of year, and one of the classics is to make cookies together and leave some out for Santa. I personally think Santa should have the BEST cookie to snack on while making all of his deliveries. Santa needs butter, y’all!

Alyssa Raymond, from WTHR, and I teamed up to make the perfect brown butter sugar cookie for Christmas Eve night. I honestly don’t know how anyone could go wrong with brown butter. These cookies are buttery, nutty, and downright delicious.

I borrowed this recipe from the most amazing cookie maker I’ve found, Sally. Sally’s Baking Addiction is my go-to site for all things cookie. I used to run far, far away from making cookies until I discovered the amazingness that is Sally. I’ve never made a bad cookie using her recipe.

Brown up some butter and leave Santa an extra special treat this Christmas! Just make sure you don’t eat them all before he makes his way down your chimney.

Enjoy!
